USB latency is not noticeable on my system either and I run it through a hub and then through an iConnectmidi4 interface and from there to the PC. I have been using a 1st Gen Axiom 61 for about 9 years now! I don't use their drivers and it functions just fine without installing any drivers at all. Thanks very much guys, next week i'm gonna go to a music store (in Barcelona) and test some keys, so your help in this matter would be really helpful.īONUS QUESTION: Do you think its better to put the keyboard on the desk or on a keyboard stand? I think maybe the desk is better for leg positioning, but the stand is better for arm/wrist position. Just normal piano songs and simple rock tunes. I'm a beginner so for now i'm not gonna be doing a lot of crazy synth or wonky sounding things (only sometimes for some fun :D). The key size and octave length will be an important point on my choice. Other controller options i have but none convince me completely: Does this problem exist on EVERY unit of this keyboard? does it appear since day 1 or after a while? always with the same severity or in some units its less severe? My question is about the sticky keys problem that this and the old generation have when you press the keys after a period of inactivity. I really like the Axiom 61 2nd gen (despite that i read here that its not bad in terms of key action but its certainly not among the best). I started learning with a Korg MicroKey 37 and now im looking for a 61-key midi controller. Hi, i'm a newly arrived member and a piano/keyboard beginner.
